SERVICES FOR MRS. CHRIS ANDERSEN HELD WEDNESDAY

Mrs. Chris (Caroline) Andersen, a resident of the rural Herman area died last Saturday, September 30th at Memorial Community hospital in Blair at the age of 77 years.

Caroline K. Andersen was born January 21st,1895 at Ft. Calhoun, Nebraska to Hans and Helen Kay. As a young girl she was baptized and confirmed in the Presbyterian Church and grew to young womanhood in that area.

On February 27, 1918, she was united in marriage to Chris L. Andersen of Herman. They spent their active life as farmers in the Herman area. They became members of the Herman Methodist Church. She was a member of the Jolly Workers Club for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Chris, one son, Donald and one daughter, Carmen, Mrs. Clifford Larsen, both of the Herman area. There are five grandchildren, Sharon and Donnie Andersen, Mrs. Kenneth Petersen, Mrs. Gene Engelkemier and Allan Larsen, five great grandchildren, two brothers, Hans and William Kay of Ft. Calhoun, and one sister, Elsie Walker of Omaha. There are several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters.

Funeral services were held at the Herman Methodist Church Wednesday with Pastor Zack Kleinsasser officiating. Interment was made in the Herman Cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home of Blair.

Active pallbearers were Donnie Andersen, Allan Larsen, Kenneth Petersen, Gene Engelkemier, Gene Kay and Wendell walker. Honorary pallbearers were Charles Thiefoldt, Mack Cameron and Robert Rasmussen, Sr.
