Ella Klanderud

Services for Ella Klanderud 92, who died Sunday, October 6, 1985, in Cedar’s Nursing Home in Hartington, will be Wednesday, October 9 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hartington. Visitation will be 1-9 p.m. Tuesday at Wintz Mortuary. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday at the Mortuary.

The Rev. Keith Holste will officiate and burial will be in the Obert Cemetery.

Mrs. Klanderud was born November 22, 1892, the daughter of Edward and Anna Thompson of Moorhead, Iowa. She married Oscar Klanderud March 8, 1917, in Sioux City, Iowa.

She was a seamstress and housewife.

Mrs. Klanderud was a former member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Obert, Nebraska and the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hartington. She was also a member of the American Lutheran Church Women.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth of Hartington and Wendell of Blair; two daughters, Mrs. Adolph (Eunice) Heimes of Hartington, and Mrs. Lee (Phyllis) Fideline of Ralston; two sisters, Alice Finney of Casper, Wyoming, and Nettie Cook of Monmouth, Illinois; 21 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, August 30, 1968.

Wintz Mortuary of Hartington is in charge of arrangements.
