Dr. Paul Klawitter, 60

Services for Dr. Paul Klawitter, 60 of Fort Calhoun who died of prostate cancer March 16, 1994 at Clarkson Hospital were Saturday, March 19 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Omaha.

Born in Norfolk, he was a 1950 graduate of Norfolk Catholic High School. He attended Norfolk Junior College for two years and then spent two years in the United States Army.

He graduated from Dr. Scholl’s College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. He then moved to Omaha to open his practice. He opened Klawitter’s Foot & Ankle Clinic in central Omaha in 1960. He later opened a second clinic in northwest Omaha.

He was a past president of the Nebraska Podiatric Association and belonged to several other medical organizations.

He was a past parish president of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fort Calhoun, where he was a member for 24 years.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; sons, Mark of Fort Calhoun; Randall of Verdigre, Nebraska; A. Lee White-Hamilton of Papillion and Daniel Dechamps of Connecticut; daughters, Elizabeth Jasper of Chicago and Paula Klawitter of Fort Calhoun; his father, Harold of Norfolk, brothers, Larry of Norfolk, Harold of Colorado, Jim of Verdigre and Bill of Lincoln and a granddaughter.

Memorials may go to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fort Calhoun.

John A. Gentleman Westside Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
