HUGO SWANSON BURIED IN OAKLAND

Funeral services were held for Nils Hugo Swanson on Friday, June 26, at 2:00 p.m at the Elim Lutheran Church at Swaburg, Nebreaska.

Mr. Swanson passed away at the Blair Hospital on June 23 at the age of 68 years. He was born May 24, 1896 at Blaking, Sweden, but has resided in the United States since 1915.

On February 21, 1921, he was married to Edith Cecilia Johnson from Skani, Sweden. To this union nine children were born. His wife preceded him in death on February 6, 1963. A son , Rudolph, and a daughter, Lillian, also preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Blue Lodge and Independent Order of Vikings at Oakland. His survivors are twins, Mrs. Arthur L. Nelson (Martha) of Herman and Marvin Swanson of Oakland, Weldon Swanson of Pender, Tom and Dwain Swanson of Valier, Montana, Larry Swanson of Arlington and Gordon Swanson of Oakland. A sister, Mrs. Banera Karlson of Oakland and three brothers and a sister in Sweden, and fifteen grandchildren.

Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery.
