Larry L. Swanson, 65, of Blair, died Friday, June 8, 2007, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha. Services were Monday, June 11, at First Lutheran Church in Blair.

Larry L. Swanson served three years in the United States Navy. He was a life-time member of the Eagles and VFW Post No. 1251.

He had worked as a line foreman with Omaha Public Power District for 32 years. His hobbies included fishing and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Melissa of Fairview Heights, Ill., and daughter and son-in-law, Chrissy and Scott Maybon of Omaha; two granddaughters; sister, Judi Houdek of Omaha; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Kathi of Kansas City, Mo., and Dennis and Carol of Winside; best friend and wife, Peter and Nancy Kaiser.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Grace; five brothers and one sister.

Braman Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
