Clara Mae Hansen Klingforth, 92

Clara Mae Hansen Klingforth, 92, of Omaha, formerly of Blair, died Wednesday, March 18, 2015.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 28, at Covenant Presbyterian Church,15002 Blondo St., in Omaha, followed by luncheon. The internment will be in the family plot in the Blair Cemetery.

She was born Sept. 3, 1922.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Wounded Warrior Project and Open Door Mission.

Clara Mae Hansen Klingforth, 92, of Omaha, formerly of Blair, died Wednesday, March 18, 2015.

She was born Sept. 3, 1922.

Mrs. Klingforth worked at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in placement and admissions. She touched thousands of lives and helped start many careers during her tenure.

She is survived by daughters: Julie (James W.) Simpson of Asheville, N.C. and Jerilyn Scheef and Joyce Swift of Omaha; grandchildren: Carrie Walsh and Jaime Simpson, Jenny Olson and Becky Scheef, and Ben Swift and Molly Swift; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by husband Michael E. Klingforth; sisters: Ruth Christensen and Lillian Jipp.

Klingforth, predeceased her; as did her sisters, Ruth Christensen, Lillian Jipp. She is survived by daughters, Julie (James W.) Simpson, Asheville, NC, Jerilyn Scheef, Joyce Swift. Omaha; grandchildren include Carrie Walsh, Jaime Simpson, Jenny Olson, Becky Scheef, Ben Swift, Molly Swift; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
