Services for Martin D. Steenbock, age 73 of Blair, who died March 7, 1992 at Good Shepherd Home in Blair, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 11 at First Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Neola, Iowa Cemetery at 2 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Home.

Martin D. Steenbock was born June 17, 1918 at Sioux City, Iowa to Edward and Margaret Beacon Steenbock. He grew up at Laurel, Nebraska and graduated from Laurel High School.

He served in the Army during World War II. He was discharged in 1947.

On October 25, 1947 he married Darlene Orme at Council Bluffs, Iowa. She preceded him in death on February 13, 1992.

He lived in the Lincoln and Omaha area until moving to Blair in 1967. He had been employed with Cudahay Meat Packers as an inspector and later worked as a security guard.

He was a member of the Blair American Legion and First Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his son, Martin E. Steenbock, Omaha, Nebraska; two daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Davin Dickerson, Neola, Iowa; and Joan and Gary Bucy, Tekamah, Nebraska; and three grandchildren, Shannon and Matthew Dickerson and Justine Bucy.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
