RUSSELL F. STEFFEN, 51

Russell F. Steffen, 51, of Blair, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009 at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, at Living Hope Church. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Russell Fred Steffen was born July 31, 1958 in Blair to Fred and Elsie (Stricklett) Steffen. He graduated from Blair High School and attended Metro Technical School for two years.

On Dec. 9, 1979, he married Dawn Thompson in Omaha.

He was a member of Living Hope Christian Center; was a Sunday School teacher and superintendent; and pastor with Independent Assemblies from 1993 to 1999.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn; sons, Aaron, Daniel and David, all of Blair; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane and Jim Tiffey of Missouri Valley, Iowa, and Karen and Morris Lind of Kearney.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Mike, Tim and Jeff; and mother-in-law, Lola Thompson.
