GLADYS L. STEINBAUGH, 93

Funeral services for Gladys L. Steinbaugh, 93 of Blair, were held Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Blair, with interment in the Blair Cemetery. Mrs. Steinbaugh died Friday, May 23, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Gladys Luetta Steinbaugh was born Sept. 14, 1909, in Clarks to Nels and Sophie (Goranson) Peierson. She received her teaching certificate from Kearney State and taught school in Oakland.

On June 4, 1933, she married Wayne Steinbaugh in Stromsburg. In September 1933, the couple moved to Blair, where they resided for the rest of their lives.

Mrs. Steinbaugh worked with her husband in their family businesses. She loved to read, play bridge, and dance with her husband. She was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Blair.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Rex and Beverly Steinbaugh of Omaha, and Roger Steinbaugh of Blair; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Gladys Pierson of Genoa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, in 2002; two brothers and 10 sisters.

Memorials are suggested to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
