CHRISTINA A. STENDER, 86
Funeral services for Christina A. Stender, 86, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, 1988 at Emmaus Lutheran Church at Kennard, Nebraska.
Christiana passed away at the Memorial Community Hospital on Oct. 10, 1988. She was born on Feb. 8, 1902 at Kennard, Nebraska to August and Lena Boock Schumacher.
On Dec. 12, 1923 she was united in marriage to Emil Stender. They farmed in the Kennard area until 1949 at which time they retired and moved into Kennard.
Christina is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Alton and Frances Stender of Blair; two granddaughters, Carol Penry and Sherry Salsbury of Blair; two great-granddaughters, Lori and Shelli Penry and two step-great-grandchildren, Chuck and Holli Salsbury.
She is also survived by two sisters, Hilda Mueller of Blair and Sophie Wrigg of Kennard.
Christina was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emil in 1955; four brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services will be held in the Blair Cemetery with Rev. Norman Lillegard officiating. Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
