SWANSON SERVICES JUNE 21
Services for Theodore R. Swanson were held at the Methodist Church in Herman on June 21, 1988 with the Rev. Larry Orvis officiating.
Swanson was born on November 13, 1901 to Frank and Anna C. Swanson. At the age of 15 he started working at the Herman State Bank, before and after schools. He retired exactly 50 years later, on May 31, 1967.
He served as village clerk for the Village of Herman for over 20 years. He also served as treasurer and trustee for both the Methodist and Federated churches.
He served six years as trustee of the Wesley Foundation of Lincoln.
He held many offices in the Masonic Organization and was a member of the Tangier Shrine of Omaha. He had received his 60 year membership pin. He was also the recipient of the Jordan Medal.
On November 23, 1940, he was united in marriage to Gladys Liggett of Omaha.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys, sister Mildred Lowe of Sun City, AZ, and daughter Susan and son-in-law Keith McBurney of Western Springs, IL. Two grandsons, Steven and Mark McBurney, also survive.

Funeral services 2pm Tuesday, Methodist Church, Herman, Nebraska. Graveside Service by Landmark Lodge No. 22 A.F. & A.M. Herman Cemetery. Visitation 7-9pm Monday, Roeder Mortuary, 2727 No. 108th St. Omaha.
