JOHN STEVENS DIES HERE LAST WEEK

Memorial services were held Friday, April 9 at Campbell Funeral Home for John Henry Stevens, 57, who died April 7, 1982 at his home in Blair.

Rev. K. F. Kaleuati conducted the services. Cremation followed the services.

John Henry Stevens was born December 9, 1924 at Norfolk, Nebraska to George and Augusta Spiering Stevens. He married Frances Brand in Pierce on June 25, 1944. He was in the plumbing, heating and electrical business.

He is survived by his wife, Frances, Blair; five sons, LeRoy Stevens, Blair; Stanley Stevens, Fairview, Ohio; Donald Stevens, Superior, Nebraska; Delber Stevens, Muscatine, Iowa; and Howard Stevens, Bernville, Ohio; and five daughters, Norma Roesler, Blair; Ina Burr, Blair; Monica Bernheisel, Fremont; Dianna Pleskac, Blair; and Beverly Mann, Blair. One brother, Richard Stevens, Long Beach, California; one sister, Mrs. Herman (Helen) Janssen, Norfolk, Nebraska; and 23 grandchildren also survive him.

Pallbearers were John Purcell, Ray Mann, Jeff Pleskac, Robert Bernheisel, Sr., Rlobert Bernheisel, Jr. and Frank Mann.

Clare Cowing was organist.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
