Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, July 14 at the Fort Calhoun Cemetery for Richard M. Stevenson, 82 of Fort Calhoun who died July 12, 1992 at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair. Rev. Dale Sanders will officiate.
Richard M. Stevenson was born in Osceola, Missouri June 2, 1910 to George Stevenson and Edna Susan Freemole Buckley.
He was a pile driver operator for river construction prior to his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pansy Pauline, March 13, 1977 and his parents.
He is survived by a son, Feris (Steve) Stevenson; two brothers, Kenneth and Charles Buckley, Sacramento, California; two grandchildren, Sharon Swanson of Fort Calhoun and Janet Mason of Mansfield, Texas; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
