Former Blair resident Kenneth J. Morris, 72, died Nov. 3, 2001, in Sun City, Ariz.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at the Blair Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.

Morris, Kenneth J., 72 yrs., Sun City, AZ went to be with his Lord Nov. 3, 2001. He was born to Holly and Altha Morris April 27, 1929 in Athol, ID. He is survived by his wife, Florence A. Morris; daughter, Tracy Chapman, Elkhorn; sons, Dr. Ward Morris, Gig Harbor, WA and Hugh Morris, Duluth, MN; 7 grandchildren; 6 brothers; 1 sister. Preceding him in death were his parents and 2 sisters.

Kenneth served in the U.S. Air Force in communications from 1948-1952 during the Korean Conflict. He spent most of his life working in the nuclear power industry, retiring in 1990 from OPPD, as the division manager of nuclear operations. He was past president of Blair Nebraska Lions Club, member of Congregational Church of Sun City, AZ, American Society of Mechanical Engineers and Omaha Engineers Club. Ken was a loving husband and father who cared deeply for his wife, children, grandchildren and friends. He always placed the needs of others above his own. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorials may be sent to American Lung Assoc.
