Funeral services were held Saturday, October 7 at First Lutheran Church for Alva Klingenberg, 82 who died October 4, 1989 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. Rev. J. David Nelson and Rev. Kenneth A. Jensen officiated. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Alva Klingenberg was born July 5, 1907 in Omaha to Peter and Nielsine Nielsen Martens. She married Eugene Klingenberg February 20, 1926 in Omaha.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; one son, Robert; and a brother, Robert Martens.

She is survived by three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Hazel C. Martens of Omaha; and nieces and nephews.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
