Raymond Christensen, 87

Memorial services for Raymond Christensen, age 87, of Papillion were held Monday, March 30, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in the Family Life Center in Papillion. Mr. Christensen died March 27, 2015 at Hospice House in Omaha.

Raymond Christensen was born in Omaha on November 12, 1927. He was adopted by Pete and Anna Christensen and spent his growing years on their farm. He attended twelve years of school in Herman. Upon graduation in 1945, he was drafted into the army in March, 1946. He served with the occupation troops in Japan until September 1947. In 1947, after his discharge from the army, he returned to Omaha where he started working for a printing company.

On June 13, 1948, he was united in marriage to Lila Iverson. They have one daughter, Susan Lauritsen. They have two grandsons, Scott Lauritsen (Rachelle) & Steve Lauritsen (Cindy). They also have two great-grandsons, Sam and Max.

Ray worked for three printing companies in Omaha and retired from Western Printing Company April 1, 1990. On March 15, 2013, Ray and Lila moved to Trinity Village in Papillion where they had an apartment and enjoyed it very much.
