MRS. IRENE SCHMIDT BEALES

PASSED AWAY JANUARY 10th AT THE HOME OF HER PARENTS, MR. AND MRS. HENRY SCHMIDT

Mrs. Irene Schmidt Beales, wife of Ralph Beales, passed away at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schmidt near Florence on January 10 at 7:30 a.m. Mrs. Beales had been in poor health for about three years.

She was born near Florence on July 28, 1903, making her age 24 years, 5 months and 13 days. She was confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran church on April 13, 1924 and was a bride of but six months.

Mrs. Beales was a graduate of the Blair High School in the days of 1922, and had been a teacher of a rural school up to the time of her marriage.

Besides her parents she leaves to mourn her death her husband and twin sister, Pauline, besides a host of relatives and friends.

Through all pain at times she’d smile, A smile of Heavenly birth;

And when the Angels called her home, She smiled farewell to earth.

Heaven retaineth now our treasure, Earth the lonely casket keeps;

And the sunbeams love to linger Where our darling Irene sleeps.
