Edward Klingforth Dies At Calhoun

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 7th at the Sievers Mortuary in Ft. Calhoun for Edward Klingforth of that city. Mr. Klingforth, 79, was a retired railroad man of the area. The Rev. Jack Mauldin conducted the service.

Mr. Klingforth was born in Hamburg, Germany November 1, 1885. He came to Nebraska at the age of six and grew to manhood in the Bloomfield and Creston, Nebraska area. He moved to Ft. Calhoun a number of years ago.

He was married to 1910 to Ellen O’Donnell and he became the father of four sons and three daughters, all of whom survive him. The sons are Edward John of Oregon, Michael, of Omaha, Joseph also of Omaha, and Raymond of Ft. Calhoun. The daughters are Mrs. Lena Justice, of Oregon, Mrs. Eula Brundage of Blair and Mrs. Agnes Brady of Oregon. There are 25 grand-children and 5 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Lena Struve, of Iowa and a sister-in-law Mrs. Fred Klingforth of Wisconsin. There are a number of nieces and nephews living in Germany.

Pallbearers at the services were four sons, John, Michael, Joseph and Raymond, a son-in-law, Clarence Brundage of Blair and a grandson, Tom Klingforth. Interment was in the Bloomfield, Nebraska cemetery.
