Blair Lady’s Mother Dies In Fremont

Lizzie R. Spease, 89, of Arbor Manor, Fremont, died there on Tuesday night, December 8. She was born on September 12, 1892, at Hooper, Nebraska and lived in Nebraska her entire life. She moved to a farm near Arlington in 1950 and to Fremont in 1966.

Mrs. Spease was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Arbor Vitae Chapter 82, and the Gavel Club O.E.S., all in Fremont. She was also Past Worthy Matron of the Lily Chapter 223 O.E.S. at Stuart, Nebraska.

She married James Spease at Hooper, Nebraska, December 29, 1920.

Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Ray (Lois) Cunningham of Omaha, Mrs. Philip (Florence) Larsen of Blair, and Mrs. John (Lila) Ronan of Fremont; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 11, at Lattin-Dugan Chambers Chapel in Fremont, with Dr. J. W. Berry officiating. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
