Brent D. Sperling, 25

Brent D. Sperling, 25, Omaha formerly of Arlington, died Sunday, August 28, 1988, at Methodist Hospital, Omaha.

Cause of death is unknown. An autopsy has been conducted, but results are not yet complete.

Mr. Sperling was born May 28, 1963, in Fremont. He was raised in Arlington and graduated from high school there in 1981. He received an associate degree in architectural drafting from Milford Community College. He lived in Omaha the past five years where he was shipping and receiving foreman for D&D Salads. He belonged to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington.

Survivors include his parents, Donnie and Ardeth Sperling, Arlington; grandmother, Clara Sperling, Arlington; two sisters, LuAnn (Mrs. Steven) Blea, Albuquerque, N.M. and Susan (Mrs. Ron) Callaway, North Platte, and a fiancée , Yolanda Jones, Omaha.

Pallbearers were Darin Sperling, Brad Goolsby, Shawn Fuhrer, Bryan Drum, Kevin Jones, Jay Gnuse, Gary Denison and Jon Oltjenbruns.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington. The Rev. Dennis Maaske officiated. Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home, Arlington, was in charge of the arrangements. Burial was in St. Paul’s Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the church.

Brent Donnie Sperling was born May 28, 1963. He was born again as a child of God in Holy Baptism on June 9, 1963 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and reaffirmed his baptismal vows in the Rite of Confirmation on April 3, 1977.

Brent graduated from Arlington High School in 1981 and graduated from Milford Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Architecture Drafting in 1982. Brent lived in Omaha for the last 5 years and was Shipping and Receiving Foreman for D&D Salads, Inc.

Brent is survived by his parents, Donnie and Ardeth Sperling, his sisters Mrs. Steven (LuAnn) Blea of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Mrs. Ron (Susan) Callaway of North Platte, Nebraska, fiancée Yolanda Jones of Omaha, niece Nicole Callaway, nephew Aaron Callaway, grandmother Clara Sperling.

Brent was received in life eternal on Sunday, August 28, 1988 at the age of 25 years, 3 months.
