BOB SWEET, 61

Funeral services were Tuesday, October 3 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church for Bob Sweet, 61, of Nickerson who died September 28, 1989 of a heart attack at his home in Nickerson. Rev. Steve Boes officiated. Military graveside services were conducted by Larsen-Peterson Post No. 854 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars at Ridge Cemetery.

Bob Sweet was born December 20, 1927 in Fremont. He lived in the Fremont, Nickerson and Omaha areas all of his life.

He married Norine M. Carda on March 26, 1953 in Lake Andes, South Dakota.

He was retired and had been ill since 1970.

He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Norine; three sons, Larry Sweet and Brian Sweet of Fremont; and Roland Sweet of Nickerson; and four daughters, Debbie (Mrs. Mike) Wyman, Teresa (Mrs. George) Bramlett, Wanda (Mrs. Gary) Totten and Patty Sweet, all of Fremont. Two brothers, Clifford Barnum of Apache Junction, Arizona, and Ray Diaz of Omaha; four sisters, Ethel (Mrs. Mott) Frady of Spokane, Washington, Millie (Mrs. Matt) Wollersheim of Apache Junction, Arizona, Darlene (Mrs. Don) Cunningham of Colon and Vanita (Mrs. Luis) Vallafuerte of Omaha; and 14 grandchildren also survive.

Memorials may be given to St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont.

Bader-Rozanek Colonial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
