Mrs. Fred Beerman of Herman Dies

Mrs. Fred Beerman, of Herman, passed away June 20, 1962 at the Fremont Hospital, where she had been confined for a week following a broken hip injury. She had been in failing health for some time.

Marie Sallmeyer was born July 15, 1884 in Germany, and came to America with her mother at the age of one year and lived in the Herman community.

She was confirmed and was a life-long member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Hooper. She was married to John Beerman June 22, 1908.

Survivors besides her husband, John, are one daughter, Mrs. Clarence Brandert, Hooper; and one son, Elvin Beerman, Herman; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church four miles east of Winslow. The Rev. Carl Heilman will officiate and interment will follow at the church cemetery. The body will lie in state Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Wolmer and Warne Funeral Chapel at Hooper.
