OMAHA MAN, 24, DIES OF INJURIES IN CYCLE ACCIDENT

Frank Oberle, of 4725 North 47th Avenue, Omaha, died last Saturday in an Omaha hospital following injuries sustained in a car-motorcycle accident at the west edge of Blair late Saturday afternoon. Oberle was 24 years of age.

Oberle, approaching Blair from the west on Highway 91, collided with a pickup truck on a curve just west of the 25th street intersection on Highway 91. The truck was enroute west, driven by Milo Stork, well-known farmer living west of Blair. He was accompanied by his wife, Norma Jean.

The Oberle motorcycle struck the Stork pickup on the left front corner, doing $1,000 damage and rendering the pickup immobile. Oberle's motorcycle was a total wreck. He was thrown from the machine and landed some distance from the point of impact.

The Blair Rescue Squad was called and all three parties involved were taken to the Blair Hospital for treatment. A short time later Oberle was taken to the Immanuel hospital in Omaha. He died there in the evening.

Mr. Stork sustained cuts about his head and a strained back. Mrs. Stork had numerous bruises and cuts. Both were treated and released. ~~~Obituaries courtesy of the Nebraska Washington County Genealogical Society. Newspaper clippings on file in the Blair, Nebraska Public Library~~~
