Jerome Becker, 87, of Fort Calhoun, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, in Omaha.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fort Calhoun. Interment will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., and a vigil service at 7 p.m.

Jerome “Jerry” Becker was born Oct. 24, 1921, in Fleming, Colo.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry “Butch” and Candy, Bill, Ken and Peggy, all of Omaha; Steve and Aggy, and Jeff, all of Fort Calhoun; brothers; sisters; grandchildren; and special friends, Jeanie Clark and Marty Glass.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola (Miller) Becker; and grandchildren, Mark, Todd and Kimberly.
