Services were Monday, June 8 at the Herman Legion Hall with burial in the Herman Cemetery for Ervin E. Clements, 74, who died June 5, 1992 at Memorial Community Hospital.

Ervin Clements was born April 19, 1918 in rural Herman, Nebraska to Hurley and Mabel Follen Clements. He attended Brodersen School and was confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at Orum and later became a member of the Herman Methodist Church.

He and Liberty Eriksen were married December 24, 1937. To this union were born three sons.

His entire life was spent in Washington County where he was engaged in farming. His retirement years were spent enjoying his horses and later his team of mules. He had been a member of the Tri-County Saddle Club for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dick.

Survivors include his wife, Liberty; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Frances of Decatur; Bob and Genelle of Tekamah; and Bernie and Joan of Herman; grandchildren, Greg of Decatur, Tanis of Omaha, Cathy of Tekamah, Bradley and Valerie of Wayne, Corey of Wayne, Richard of Wayne, Heidi and Kevin Brummond of Tekamah, Eric of Lincoln and Adam of Herman; great-grandchildren; Jordan and Tyler Brummond of Tekamah; brother and sister-in-law, Virgil and wife, Adeline of Kelso, Washington, and sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Gerald Yowell of Loveland, Colorado.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
