HURLIE CLEMENTS DIED TUESDAY NIGHT

Hurlie Clements, lifetime Washington countain, died Tuesday night at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. He was 70 years old.

Mr. Clements was born July 29, 1895 at Herman. He grew to manhood in that area and spent all of his active life as a farmer west of Herman. He moved to Blair about five years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Clements lived at 1928 South Street.

On March 15, 1915 he was married to Mabel Follen who survives his passing. The couple became parents of three sons and a daughter, one son having lost his life in an auto accident a number of years ago.

In addition to Mrs. Clements, the survivors are Virgil, of Rufus, Oregon, Irvin of Herman, Mrs. Gerald Yowell (Mildred) of Emerson, Iowa; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Herman Baptist church Friday afternoon with the Rev. Percy Bruns conducting the service. Burial will be in the Herman Cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home.
