Blair native Roger L. Clements, 51, of Fremont, died Saturday, April 16, 2005, at Fremont Area Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, at First Lutheran Church in Fremont. Interment will be in Fremont’s Memorial Cemetery.

Roger L. Clements was born August 23, 1953, in Blair to Eugene and Myrle (French) Clements. He grew up in Blair, where he attended grade school and graduated from Blair High School in 1971.

He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for four years and graduated from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1976. He married Wanda Henry in Daykin on Sept. 17, 1976. He worked for 29 years as a pharmacist at Miller Pharmacy in Fremont.

He was an active member of the First Lutheran Church of Fremont; member of the Nebraska Pharmacist Association; and was a past coach and board member of Fremont Nighthawks Baseball. He enjoyed playing, coaching and watching numerous sports. He was an avid card player, especially bridge.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda; children, Nathan of Lincoln, Andrew, and twins, Joel and Joy, all of Fremont; step-mother Joan Clements of Blair, sister, Patricia Barnes of West Palm Beach, Fla.; Saylor and Cheryl Clements of Blair; half-brother, Mark Clements of Maryville, Mo.; and half-sisters, Merri and husband Dan Dibben of Blair, and Karen Clements of Blair.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Milo “Mike” Clements.

Memorials are suggested to the First Lutheran Church Building Fund and an educational fund for the children.

Ludvigsen Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
