| Miss Mary Beckman, who died at Davenport, Iowa, January 8, 1923, was brought up on the now Spickler farm south of town known for over fifty years as the Beckmann farm. One of her sisters was married to Henry Bolln of Omaha over 40 years ago. This writer helped harvest and thresh on this farm and when her father retired he built the house in town now owned by Mrs. Peter Klindt where Miss B. often visited after moving to Iowa.
