Services for Mrs. Knecht Tuesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Paul (Elsie) Knecht, 85, of rural Arlington will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington. Rev. Dennis Maaske will officiate. Burial will be at St. Paul’s Cemetery.

Mrs. Knecht died Saturday, Oct. 20, at Memorial Hospital Skilled Care Center in Fremont. She was born Dec. 18, 1898 in Arlington. She was a life-time resident of the community, a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Ladies’ Aid, and the Jolly Larks Club.

She married J. Paul Knecht Jan. 28, 1920 in Arlington. He survives, along with two daughters, Mrs. Victor (Violet) Stork of Fremont and Mrs. Curtis (Darlene) Schmidt of Arlington; brothers Clarence Dahlkoetter of Grant, Ernest of Lindsay, California, Harry of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Melvin of Grant and Alfred of Ogallala; sisters Mrs. Alvina Greunke of Grant and Mrs. Adela Knecht of Arlington; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home is in charge of services. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
