Services for J. Paul Knecht, 91, of Arlington, who died Saturday, October 5, at Dodge County Memorial Hospital in Fremont, were Tuesday, October 8, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington. The Rev. Dennis Maaske officiated and burial was in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Arlington.

Knecht was born November 28, 1893, in Arlington, the son of John and Anna Knecht.

He lived in the Arlington area all his life. He married Elsie Dahlkoetter, January 28, 1920 in Arlington.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Victor (Violet) Stork of Fremont, and Mrs. Curtis (Darleen) Schmidt of Arlington; one brother, Walter Knecht of Arlington; four sisters, Mary Echtenkamp and Ann Greunke, both of Wayne, Mrs. Elsa Greunke of Fremont and Mrs. Edwin (Louise) Kilgenkamp of Arlington; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a daughter, two brothers and a sister.

Pallbearers were Kevin Stork, Dale Stork, Bruce Schmidt, Gary Feldman, Lloyd Vogt and Marlin Greunke.

Choir director and organist was Dennis Godeman.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
