Otto Knecht Services Were Wednesday

Services for Otto T. Knecht, 75, will be held on Wednesday, January 8th at 2 p.m. in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington. Mr. Knecht died at the Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont on Sunday, January 5th after a lingering illness.

Mr. Knecht was born at Arlington on January 8, 1899 and had been a farmer in the Arlington area all of his life.

Family prayer services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the Church Hall.

On April 28, 1939, he was married to Adela Dahlkoetter. His wife Adela survives along with two daughters. The daughters are Mrs. Gary (Shirley) Quast of Oakland, California, and Doris, who is at home.

There are two brothers, Paul and Walter, both of Arlington.

The five surviving sisters are: Mrs. Martha Hokamp, Arlington, Mrs. Elsa Greunke, Arlington, Mrs. Louise Hilgenkamp, Arlington, Mrs. Mary Echtenkamp, Wayne, and Mrs. Rudolph (Anna) Greunke, Wayne.

Burial will be in the St. Paul’s Cemetery with the Reckmeyer Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are: Albert Hokamp, Victor Stork, Larry Echtenkamp, Dennis Greunke, Lyle Greunke and Milton Hilgenkamp.

Memorials have been established for the Church Building Fund and for the Cancer Fund.
