Martin Wilhelm Beckmann died at the home of his brother, Hans, in Grant township on Friday, Nov. 20th, aged 52 years, 10 months and 3 days. Rev. J.W. Larkin conducted the funeral service at the house on Sunday afternoon and interment was made in the Blair cemetery. Mr. Beckmann was born at Kaacks, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, Jan. 17, 1851, and served in the 85th Fusileer Infantry before coming to this country in 1870. He leaves one sister in Germany and five brothers in this country.

#2-25 Nov., 1903 - The Pilot

Died at the home of his brother Hans Beckman of Grant Township, Martin Beckman Nov. 20. Born in Germany January 17th, 1857. He was 52 years, 10 months and three days old at the time of his death. He removed from Germany to this country in 1870 and much of the time has made his home here, the last two years at the home of his brother Hans where he died. He leaves one sister in Germany and one sister and five brothers in county. The funeral was held Sunday, conducted by Rev. J. W. Larkin. Mr. Beckman leaves many warm friends here about who with The Pilot extend sympathy to the bereaved brothers and sisters.

#3-26 Nov., 1903 - Blair Republican - Martin Wilhelm Beckman

Died at the home of Hans Beckman in Grant Tp. Nov. 20 Martin Wilhelm Beckman. Deceased was born at Kaacks near Estelle, Schleswig Holstein, Germany Jan. 15, 1851, and was past 50 years of age. He served in the 85th Fusileer Infantry at Kiel, Germany. Came to America in 1870 and for the past two years lived with his brother Hans. A sister resides in Germany and one sister and five brothers in this country. Funeral was from the residence last Sunday, Rev. J. W. Larkin officiating, and burial in Blair Cemetery.
