Joseph “Joe” R. Foster age 90 of Blair died April 14, 2015 at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha. A memorial gathering will be held Friday April 14, 2015 from 1:00 to 3:00PM at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Burial of ashes will follow memorial gathering in the Blair Cemetery.

Joseph “Joe” R. Foster was born on April 1, 1925 in St. Deroin, Nebraska to Joshua “Bucky” M. Foster and Ellen E. Noise. He grew up in Southeastern Nebraska primarily on farms. During WWII he honorably served his country in the United States Navy. In the late 1950’s Joe moved to Blair. On October 30, 1960 he was united in marriage to Bonnie Lorsch in Logan, Iowa. The couple made their home in the Blair area.

Joe was employed as a machinist with several different companies in the Blair area through the years. After his Retirement, the couple enjoyed spending time as full time RV travelers. In 1998 the couple made Blair their permanent home.

He is survived by his children; Roland (Diane) Foster of Blair, Loren Foster of Council Bluffs, Suzanne (Gene) Nielsen of Texas, Dorothy (Bruce) Ligon of Omaha, Deb Martin of Omaha, and Rhonda (Bob) Bentley of Omaha, 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bonnie, 6 brothers and 6 sisters.
