WILLIAM R. STEVER, 44

William R. “Bill” Stever, 44, Omaha, passed away on Thursday afternoon, July 9, 1987 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha after a lengthy illness.

He was born on January 28, 1943, at Winona, Minnesota, to Otto and Erika (Voigt) Stever.

He was married to Donna Petersen on October 8, 1975 at Pine River, Minnesota.

He had served in the U. S. Air Force from January 1963 until January, 1983 and had been stationed at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha.

Bill and Donna Stever had lived in Omaha for the past nine years.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars; the Air Force Association; and Papillion Lodge, A.F. & A.M.; and enjoyed woodworking, fishing and hunting (particularly deer-hunting).

Survivors include his wife, Donna Stever of Omaha; one sister, Janet Ahlgren of Burnsville, Minnesota; three brothers: George Stever of Woodruff, Wisconsin, Richard Stever of Pine River, Minnesota, and Kent Stever of Lakeville, Minnesota; one half-brother, Robert Voigt of Reinbeck, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Frank Stever.

Funeral Services were held Monday, July 13, 1987 at the United Methodist Church in Tekamah with Rev. Marion H. Knoell and Rev. Dr. William G. Moorhead officiating.

Interment was in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by the Hamel & Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah.
