STEWART’S NEPHEW KILLED

Word was received Sunday of the accidental death of Dr. C. Roy Stewart, a nephew of Dr. E. R. Stewart of this city, at Curtis, Neb., Saturday.

No particulars of the accident other than that it was an auto accident have been received. The victim was twenty-seven years old and had practiced at Curtis for two years and a half. He was a son of A. E. Stewart of Nickerson and had been married to a Glenwood, Iowa, girl a short time ago.

The interment was made at Glenwood, Iowa, Tuesday, Dr. and Mrs. Stewart and Miss Ethel going there to attend the services.

# 2 - - from The Pilot, November 5, 1913

Dr. E. R. Stewart went over to Nickerson yesterday to attend the funeral of his nephew, Dr. Chas. Ray Stewart, who was instantly killed in an auto accident last Friday morning when he started out to make a professional call from Curtis, where he located about two and one-half years ago. He was found face up on the ground and the auto on top of him. Death had evidently been instantaneous for there was no sign of a struggle. His parents live at Nickerson and the body was taken there for the funeral on account of an invalid sister. He was married, shortly after he located at Curtis, to a young lady from Glenwood, Ia., and the remains were taken over there for interment. He was but 26 years of age.
