DON STEWART, 75, DIED AT HOSPITAL WEDNESDAY

Donald D. Stewart, lifetime resident of Blair, died at Memorial Community Hospital Wednesday following an extended period of declining health. He was the son of Dr. and mrs. E. R. Stewart, early-day physician of the community. He lived with his sister, Ethel, at Sutton Place at 17th and Lincoln Streets, Blair.

Donald D. Stewart was born at Blair May 30, 1896 and he was 75 years of age at the time of his death. He grew to manhood in Blair, was a graduate of Blair High School and had entered the postal service in Blair. He retired from this several years ago. In spare time he was an assistant to several Blair painting contractors.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by three brothers, Keith Stewart, Kenneth Stewart and Harold Stewart. A sister, Miss Ethel Stewart, is the last remaining survivor. There are also five nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held at the Campbell Mortuary Friday, September 17th with the Rev. James Warn of the Congregational Church conducting the service. Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were all one-time fellow-workers at the Blair postoffice. They were Ted Stewart, Alfred O. Sick, R. D. Zimmerman Jr., Etlar Olsen, Robert McMillan, and Claar Millrons.
