JESSIE STEWART

Memorial services for Jessie Stewart of Seattle, Washington who died of an apparent heart attack May 18, 1993 were Saturday, May 22 at the Yarington Funeral Home.

Jessie Stewart was born at Blair and raised in Kennard. She graduated from high school in Kennard and attended Dana College. She taught school in Washington County.

During the war, she joined the service and became a WAS nurse where she met Lloyd E. Stewart. They were married February 13, 1946. Most of their married life was lived in Seattle.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Peter and Irene Vaughan Jansen and a grandson, Garth Philips.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Sunblad, Seattle; and Nancy Philips of Lincoln City, Oregon; a son and daughter-in-law, Lloyd and Diana Stewart of Boise, Idaho; and three grandchildren. Also surviving her are two sisters, Marjorie Christiensen and Naomi Mathiesen of Blair; a brother, Peter Jansen of Fremont, several nieces and nephews and many friends.
