MRS. WALTER KNIGHT OF FT. CALHOUN, DIES

Mrs. Walter Knight, a resident of Ft. Calhoun, died Sunday, August 11th at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. She was 72 years old.

Mary Gertrude Knight was born at McPaul, Iowa September 9, 1895. Her maiden name was Mary Margaret Patton. She devoted her life to being a housewife and the mother of five children who survive her death.

Her husband, Walter, is living, as are two daughters and three sons. The daughters are Mrs. Norma Jean Coffin, of Omaha and Mrs. Elaine Marquardt, of Nodaway, Iowa. The sons are Keith Knight, of Blair, Frank Knight of Ft. Calhoun and Dale Knight of Omaha.

Three brothers, Hershel Patton, Kenneth Patton and Floyd Patton, also survive. She has one sister, Lola Patton.

Funeral services were held at the Campbell Mortuary Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. Richard Davison, of the First Christian Church conducting the service. Burial, under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary, was made in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Delmar Wiese, Robert Wiese, Marion Kephart, Rudolph Wiese, Clarence Doty and Milford Campbell.
