Services for Lawrence H. Knoell, 90 of Fremont who died June 16, 1993 at Arbor Manor in Fremont were Friday, June 18 at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fremont. Rev. Leland Uden officiated. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery.

Lawrence H. Knoell was born August 23, 1902 on a farm southwest of Hooper. He grew up on a farm east of North Bend.

He farmed in the North Bend and Ames area until 1967, when he moved to Fremont. He worked at Fremont Monument Co. for three years.

He had lived at Arbor manor since March, 1993.

He was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles No 200, both of Fremont.

He was preceded in death by a son, a sister and five brothers.

He is survived by two sons, Gary of Arlington and Gene Kruger of Elkhorn; two daughters, Joyce Gumb and Roberta Reeves, both of Fremont; a brother, Ervin Knoell of Fremont; a sister, Lena Ladehoff of Monmouth, Oregon; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.
