Loren Knoell, 59

Funeral services for Loren D. Knoell of Arlington were held Friday, February 5, 1988, at the Arlington Community Church, with Rev. Robert Saunders officiating.

Pallbearers were Troy Knoell, Scott Reeves, John Gumb, John Kruger, Larry Oerman and Terry Rasmussen. Organist was Ruby House, and Melvin Misfeldt was soloist. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Loren died Tuesday, February 2, 1988, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

He was born September 28, 1928, in rural North Bend, and grew up in the Fremont area.

He was a graduate of Hooper High School, and lived in Valley and Cedar Bluffs before moving to Arlington in 1967.

In 1984, he retired from the Omaha Public Power District after serving 29 years as an electrical lineman. He had presently been working part-time at First National Bank of Fremont.

Loren was a member of the Arlington Community Church, a member of the Board of Trustees of that church and a member of the Eagles Aerie 200 of Fremont.

On October 2, 1949, he married Joanne A. Hunteman of Hooper. She survives.

Other survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Cheryl Knoell of Fremont, daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Doug Liehs of Fremont, father Lawrence Knoell of Fremont, brothers, Gene Kruger of Elkhorn and Gary Knoell of Arlington, sisters Mrs. Harold (Joyce) Gumb and Roberta Reeves, both of Fremont, and two granddaughters, Mackenzie Knoell and Lori Liehs.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Knoell.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home of Arlington handled the arrangements.

Memorials may be given to the Arlington Community Church.
