John Henry Bey died at his home on east Colfax street last Friday evening of heart trouble. The funeral was held at the Christian church at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon, Rev. L.H. Camp officiating.

Mr. Bey was born in Hamburg, Germany, and was 70 years, 4 months and 27 days old. He had been a resident of Blair for the past ten years. Besides the widow he leaves four sons, Henry, of Valley, Neb., Herman, Charles and August, who lives at home. Mrs. Bey is a sister of Mrs. J.H. Struve, of this city and Mrs. Henry Kempcke, of Kennard.

THE PASSING OF JOHN HENRY BEY

The death of John Henry Bey occurred at the family home in the eastern part of town Friday, Nov. 30, 1923, after a brief illness, aged 70 years, 4 months and 27 days.

Deceased was born in Hamburg, Germany, July 4, 1858, but had been a resident of the United States for many years, residing in Blair for the past several years and was well known to many of our citizens. He was a quiet, unassuming, hard working man and a good neighbor and friend. He is survived by his widow and four sons, Henry, who lives at Valley, Nebr.; August, Herman and Charles of Blair.

Burial was made from the Christian church Sunday afternoon, interment being in the family lot in the Blair cemetery, Rev. H.L. Camp officiating.
