Mrs. Thone, 87, Succumbs

Aged Blair Woman Resided At Herman and Here The Past 64 Years

Resident of the Herman and Blair vicinities since 1886, Mrs. Kristine Thone, 87, widow of Oscar Thone, died Saturday at her home in Blair.

The body was removed to the Campbell Mortuary. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at First Lutheran Church. The Rev. H. C. Jorgensen officiated, and interment followed in Thone Cemetery northwest of Blair.

Kristine Hanson was born June 24, 1862, at Lexviken, Norway. She came to the United States in 1886 arriving at the home of an uncle, Lorentz Hanson, near Herman. She and Oscar Thone were married Sept. 25, 1888, and to them were born three children. One of them, a daughter, Laura, died in infancy.

Surviving the aged Blair woman are two sons, Clarence J. Thone and Elmer L. Thone, both of Herman; and three grandsons and one granddaughter.

Mrs. Kristine Thone christened Kristine Hanson, was born in Lexviken, Norway, on June 24, 1862, and passed way at her home in Blair on April 23, 1950, at the age of 87 years, 10 months and 28 days. She came to the United States in 1886 to the home of an uncle, Mr. Lorentz Hansen near Herman, Nebraska. On September 25, 1886, she was united in marriage with Mr. Oscar Thone of Herman. To this union three children were born, Laura, who died in infancy, Clarence J. Thone and Elmer L. Thone. Both sons survive their mother, as do three grandsons and one granddaughter. Her life as a mother and grandmother, her hospitality and kindness will long be remembered by all who knew her.

Funeral services for Mrs. Thone were held in First Lutheran Church on Tuesday, April 25, with Rev. H. C. Jorgensen officiating and the Campbell Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Burial was made in Thone Cemetery northwest of Blair.

Last Rites Held For Kristine Thone

Mrs. Kristine Thone, long-time resident of Blair passed away at her home April 22nd at the age of 87 years.

She came to the United States from her birthplace in Lexviken, Norway in 1886 and made her home with an uncle, Mr. Lorentz Hansen of Herman.

September 25, 1888 she was untied in marriage with Mr. Oscar Thone of Herman, and three children were born to them: Laura, who died in infancy, Clarence J. Thone and Elmer L. Thone. Both sons survive their mother as do three grandsons and one granddaughter.

Funeral services for Mrs. Thone were held in the first Lutheran Church, Tuesday, April 25th with Reverend H. C. Jorgensen officiating and the Campbell Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
