Farmer In South Part Of County, Otto Schneekloth Is Dead At 69

A sudden heart attack proved fatal Tuesday morning to Otto Schneekloth, 69, long a farmer in the southern part of Washington County south of Blair.

The body was removed to the Hadan Mortuary in Bennington.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bennington. Interment will be in the German Cemetery.

Surviving Mr. Schneekloth are his wife, Cecelia; two sons, Norman Schneekloth of near Blair and Clarence Schneekloth of Ames, Nebr.; and one brother, Henry Schneekloth of Bennington.

Rites Friday for Otto Schneekloth

Otto Schneekloth, 69, passed away at his home Tuesday evening. The Schneekloths have lived in Blair for a year and a half.

Mr. Schneekloth, a retired farmer, was born in Bennington in 1881, and married Cecilia Wulf in 1909 and live near Bennington most of his life.

Surviving him are his widow, two sons, Norman of Blair and Clarence of Ames. His daughter preceded him in death. Four grandchildren, Beverly, Denise, Dwayne and Patricia Jensen.

Services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Hadan Mortuary in Bennington, and burial will be in the German Cemetery.

Otto Schneekloth Rites April 28th

Services for Otto Schneekloth, retired farmer of Blair, who died suddenly at his home April 25 were held Friday at 2 p.m. at the St. John’s Lutheran church in Bennington with the Hadan Mortuary in charge.

The Rev. Robert Shirck officiated and burial was made in the German cemetery, south of Blair. Serving as pallbearers were Lester Scheef, Elmer Wulf, Melvin Steinert, Donald Wulf, Art Schneekloth, and Hans Hoff.

Son of Hans and Anna Schneekloth, he was born near Bennington September 27, 1880. He and Cecelia Wulf were married February 17, 1909 at Blair. They lived on a farm six miles northeast of Bennington until a year and a half ago when they moved to North Walker Avenue in Blair.

Surviving Mr. Schneekloth are his wife, Cecelia, two sons, Clarence of Ames; Norman of Blair; a brother, Henry, of Bennington; four grandchildren, Patricia Jensen, Beverly, Dwayne, and Dennis Schneekloth. Preceding him in death was a daughter.
