Funeral services for Dennis C. Knudsen, 61, of Fremont and formerly of Nickerson, were Wednesday, April 7, at the Nickerson United Methodist Church.

Revs. Merle Zook, Dr. Hal Smith and Harold Backus conducted the services. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

He died April 4, 1982, in Memorial Hospital of Dodge County.

Dennis C. Knudsen was born October 8, 1920, in Nickerson and farmed in the Nickerson area for 35 years before moving to Fremont last month. He was a member of the Nickerson United Methodist Church and served on the church board. He also was a member of the Nickerson Rural Fire Department.

He married Ada Fauss on July 26, 1942 in Papillion. She survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Roger (Diann) Tompkin of Windsor, Wisconsin; one son, Roger Knudsen of Waterloo, Iowa; four grandchildren; and four brothers, Kermit Knudsen of Fremont; Verlin Knudsen of Riverside, California; Marlyn Knudsen of Long Beach, California; and Elgin Knudsen of Hazel Run, Minnesota.

Memorials may be given to the church or the American Cancer Society.
