#1-7 Oct., 1903 - The Pilot - Mina Bigelow

After an illness lasting over four weeks, Miss Mina Bigelow died last Tuesday morning. Her sickness was typhoid pneumonia, and for the past ten days she has scarcely known anyone. Her physical condition was such that it was difficult to treat her with the usual medicines for such cases. She was past sixteen years of age and a great favorite with her classmates at school and the young people generally. The funeral will take place at the Christian church Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock.

The funeral of Miss Mina Bigelow was held at the Christian church last Thursday afternoon. The ninth and tenth grades of which she was a member were dismissed shortly before three o’clock and marched directly to the church. The floral offerings were many and showed in a measure only the high esteem in which she was held by all who knew her, all of whom join in extending their sympathy to the bereaved family.

After an illness of about three week’s duration, Mina, the sixteen year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F.S. Bigelow finally succumbed to the ravages of typhoid malarial fever at 6:30 Tuesday morning.

The funeral will be held from the house today at 2 o’clock and interment made in the Blair cemetery.

She was a very bright and attractive girl and the entire community sympathize with Mr. and Mrs. Bigelow in their bereavement.

After a long illness of typhoid pneumonia, Miss Minnie Bigelow died on Tuesday morning of this week. She was a bright and attractive young lady and her death brings sorrow, not only to the afflicted relatives, but also to a large circle of young friends in this city. The funeral is from the Christian church at 2 o’clock this afternoon.
