Edna E. Knudsen, 87

Washington County native Edna E. (Wulf) Knudsen died Nov. 1, 2004, at the Allina Hospital in Buffalo, Minn.

Funeral services were Friday, Nov. 5, at the Salem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud, Minn. Interment was at the Benton County Cemetery in Sauk Rapids, Minn.

Edna E. Knudsen was born March 23, 1917, on a farm near Arlington in rural Washington County to George and Lizzy (Rolf) Wulf.

On June 15, 1935, she married Elmer L. Knudsen in Red Oak, Iowa. They lived in Washington County before moving to St. Cloud, Minn., in 1961. In 2003, Mrs. Knudsen moved to Cherished Moments Adult Foster Care in Buffalo, Minn.

Mrs. Knudsen had been employed by Fingerhut for several years until she retired in 1982.

She had been involved in 4-H and Ladies Aid. She had a love for music, and played the piano and organ. She especially enjoyed her family and friends when they gathered around and sang while she played. When her children were in a music program at school or at church, she was there for them with her support.

She is survived by her four children, Carol Pritzel of Cleveland, Ohio; Rolland and Elsie Knudsen of Clearwater, Minn., Dennis and Bernie Knudsen of Phoenix, Ariz.; and Susan and Bob Fleege of Foley, Minn.; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; three brothers, Harry, Leonard and Clifford; and one sister, Mayda Krooger.

Williams Funeral Home in St. Cloud, Minn. was in charge of arrangements.
