Ethel M. Knudsen, 82, of Herman, died Monday, Nov. 8, 1999, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Services were Thursday, Nov. 11, at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Ethel M. Knudsen was born Aug. 11, 1917, to Roy and Nellie (Grothe) Smith.

She and her husband, Frode farmed in the Blair area, and she was a member of the Blair Eagles.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Alfred of Herman; and Leonard and Nancy of Fremont; two daughters, Jean Plant of Plymouth, N.H.; and Betty Minor of Blair; a brother-in-law, Gunnar Knudsen of Blair; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, one brother, one sister; two grandchildren, Jonni Minor and Kendall Knudsen; and a son-in-law, Roger Plant.
