Gunnar Knudsen, 90

Gunnar Knudsen, 90, of Blair, died Saturday, April 12, 2003, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Interment will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Grand Junction, Iowa.

Gunnar Knudsen was born April 22, 1912, in Soro, Denmark, to Hans and Johanna (Black) Knudsen. He came to the United States in 1914 with his parents and settled in Blair.

He attended school in Blair prior to his enlistment in the Army in 1932. He served in the military until his discharge in 1937.

He married Vivian Thompson in Papillion in 1937.

Mr. Knudsen worked in the sales department for the Panogen Company and later for Kelly-Ryan Equipment Company.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Jana Knudsen of Omaha; eight grand-children; and 22 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian; daughter, Roberta Anderson; two brothers, Frode and Helge Knudsen, and a sister, Inge Christensen.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
