MRS. HANS C. KNUDSEN PASSED AWAY TODAY

Mrs. Johannah Knudsen, wife of Hans C. Knudsen, died at the Blair hospital at 6 o’clock this morning. She underwent an operation last Saturday of a very serious nature.

Johannah Black was born in Denmark June 28, 1886, and became the wife of Hans C. Knudsen November 23, 1907. She was the mother of four children, three boys, the eldest of whom is 16, and the youngest, a little girl of 7 years.

Mrs. Knudsen was a most estimable woman, whose passing has cast a shadow over her entire neighborhood. Funeral services will be held at the Danish Lutheran church in Blair on Sunday, at 1:30 p.m. Rev. H. Nielsen officiating.

Mrs. Hans C. Knudsen, who was operated upon at the Blair hospital Saturday, June 2nd, and whom we reported to be in a very serious condition last week, died at 6 o’clock Thursday morning. The funeral was held at the Danish church at 1:30 Sunday afternoon, Rev. H. Nelson officiating. Johanna Black was born in Denmark June 28th, 1886, so was almost 37 years of age. She was married to Hans C. Knudsen November 23rd, 1907, and four children were born to the three boys and one girl, ranging in age from 16 to 7 years. They lived on the Murray place west of Blair and the entire neighborhood unite with many Blair friends in deepest sympathy for the bereaved husband and children.

YOUNG MOTHER DIES

The sudden death of Mrs. Hans Knudsen of Orum occurred early Wednesday morning at the Blair hospital where she submitted to an operation several days previous. The deceased leaves a husband and four children, three boys and a little girl. There remains also a father and several sisters in Denmark.

She is well know to the Danish people of the community, and her death is mourned by all.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon at the Danish Lutheran church in this city.
