MORTON P. “BUCK” STEYER, 83

Services for Morton P. “Buck” Steyer, 83 of Omaha, who died Feb. 14, 1997 in Omaha are 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 18, 1997 at Florence Presbyterian Church in Omaha. Rev. Sam Barry is officiating. Burial will be in the Ft. Calhoun Cemetery.

Morton Phillip Steyer was born Jan. 25, 1914 in Washington County to William and Mary Mortensen Steyer. He grew up in Omaha and went to North High School in Omaha.

He received degrees in Florence Lodge No. 281 AF & AM and was a member of the Masonic Lodge, York Rite, Scottish Rite, Shrine and Order of Eastern Star.

He was a member of Florence Presbyterian Church.

He married Barbara D. Steyer Feb. 16 in Omaha.

He farmed in Douglas County.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara and a daughter, Margaret Steyer, both of Omaha; a sister, Olga “Dolly” Lorenzen of Blair; an step-daughter, Barbara Yanke; two step-sons, Bob Dyer and Steve Dyer, all of Omaha; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Jack Lorenzen, Phil Lorenzen, Carl Lorenzen, Tom Steyer, Bob Dyer, Steve Dyer and Dick Kruse.

Tom Kodera is organist. Terry Roberts is soloist.

Memorials may be directed to the Omaha Home for Boys or the Florence Presbyterian Church.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
